Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. Project management is accomplished through the appropriate application and integration of the 47 logically grouped project management processes, which are categorizedinto five Process Groups. These five Process Groups are: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing (PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition).
Oil and gas industry is a capital intensive industry with high-risk that require professional project managers. OMC (Oil and Gas Management Center) in partnership with Proxsis PMA (Proxsis Project Management Alliance) commitment to develop competency of project managers. OMC and Proxsis PMA join operation to make special program namely “Institute of Project Management”.
